Steve Grzanich

Steve Grzanich is an award-winning, veteran journalist based in Chicago and is a contributing reporter at Rivet Newsradio. For 20 years, he worked as a reporter and news anchor at CBS owned WBBM Newsradio in Chicago, where he won numerous journalism awards from The Society of Professional Journalists, Radio-Television Digital News Association, Associated Press, United Press International and Chicago Press Veterans. He’s a five time recipient of the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism for investigative and breaking news reporting. Steve began his journalism career at the age of 15 and has worked at stations in Carbondale, Springfield, Champaign-Urbana and in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He earned his Broadcast Journalism degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Steve is a member of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, Radio-Television Digital News Association and The Society of Professional Journalists. He lives on the north side of Chicago with his Labrador retriever “Edward Rover Murrow.”


Dr. Julia Georgesen

Dr. Julia Georgesen is a veterinarian at Blum Animal Hospital in Chicago. She joined the practice in 2002 and became co-owner in 2007. Georgesen is a source of pet health expertise and frequent contributor to the Chicago Tribune, WGN-TV, WLS-TV and since 2012 has been cohost of Pets Podcast. Georgesen earned her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Purdue University where active in developing the veterinary school’s new curriculum as well as being the Purdue representative for The Morris Animal Foundation. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Foundation and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Foundation. The Evansville, Indiana native now lives in Chicago with her husband and two children and French bulldog “Bob” and Dachshund “Walter.” Blum is celebrating more than 60 years of veterinary care to Chicago’s pets and has been voted Top Animal Hospital for the last several years. The hospital is certified by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) for having the highest standards of care.
